The Doc’s

Kelly Wilkerson-Dullenty is a high-energy practitioner who lives for a challenge. She thrives on being able to encounter, diagnose, and successfully treat the problems of her patients. This very attribute of her personality is also what initially guided her to become a doctor of chiropractic.

Always fascinated with the workings of nature and the human body, Kelly graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2000 with a degree in Biology. She worked indirectly with the chiropractic field soon after, and decided that she would enter Logan College of Chiropractic when someone told her she would never be capable of making it through the rigorous and demanding program. True to her nature, Kelly faced this challenge head on and earned a second BS degree in Human Biology at Logan in 2006 followed closely by her Doctorate in 2007.

After graduating, Kelly worked in a high volume family practice for 4 years. During this time, many of her patients were pregnant women, infants, and children.

Originally from Bragg City, MO, Kelly is married to Tom Dullenty, owner of T. Dullenty Construction. She has two children, Kasen and Keris, who inspire and motivate her daily to model the same intense caring and compassion to her patients that she does to her children.

Dr. Ben Adkins‘ fascination with alternative health care began at a very early age. When Ben was about 12 years old, he began suffering from headaches. These headaches eventually became so intense that his parents took him to see a medical doctor about them. The Medical Doctor(who was a very GOOD doctor) failed to find any reason why Ben would be having such terrible headaches, and diagnosed them as stress related.

This diagnosis did not satisfy Ben’s mother, so she took Ben to see another kind of doctor. This Doctor did a few tests, took some x-rays, and asked Ben to come back the next day.

When Ben and his mother arrived at the Doctor’s office the next morning, the doctor explained that Ben had a muscle that was not working the way that is was supposed to and that he needed a few “adjustments” to correct the issue. The Doctor performed an “adjustment” on Ben’s neck, and Ben could immediately tell a difference. After only a few visits the pain was completely gone.

The thing that stuck with Ben over the years was what the Doctor said to him on his last visit. The Doctor said, “Just remember, I didn’t fix the problem. I helped your body fix the problem.” It took Ben a while to figure out exactly what this meant, but eventually it clicked. The Doctor(who if you haven’t figured out by now, was a Chiropractor)meant that Ben’s body had done all of the healing. It was only the Doctors job to facilitate the healing in Ben’s body. Ben thought about it a little more and realized that this is what all real doctors do(medical or chiropractic). Real Doctors help you make changes in your lifestyle and body to help your body heal itself.

Ben learned very quickly that many people didn’t share his view. From that moment on, however, he knew what he wanted to do with his life.

Dr. Benjamin Adkins graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO in December 2007. He began serving in the Poplar Bluff community shortly thereafter, and has since been working hard to educate his patients as well as help them get their bodies to a more healthy state. Dr. Ben believes in the power of “adjustment” on the musculoskeletal system…the core of Ben’s practice, however, revolves around eating healthy, exercise, and regular maintenance(check-ups).

Dr. Ben is currently practicing in Poplar Bluff, MO where he owns Adkins Chiropractic and Wellness.

Dr. Adkins is also a very sought after Marketing Consultant and specializes in helping others with self-promotion by mixing Online Social Networking with Old School Marketing Techniques.
